First, I would like to thank you for writing for me.  I haven’t done an exchange in a few years, so I’m a little bit nervous from the writing perspective.  Hopefully this letter helps you out from your end.

Before I dive into the specific requests, you do not need to use every listed tag in your story, I just like to give options.  While I’ll give some ideas, if you come up with something different that matches the tags, go nuts.  I’m not going to be very picky.  MCU is all in one request, but I’m going to break it down by which tags I have in mind for which pairings.

Chicago Fire - Matt Casey/Kelly Severide + baby

Tags: accidental baby acquisition, adoption, adopting an abandoned baby, baby gets sick for the first time; new parent(s) freak out, baby left on their doorstep in the middle of the night, balancing parenting with work, character adopts infant relative when family member can’t (or won’t) raise it, finding and raising abandoned baby, first time parents

I’m perpetually behind on my tv shows, so I’m way back at the beginning of season 10.  I’m okay with using anything from seasons 10 & 11 canon, though I’m not sure if it would even fit knowing what I do know.  Some of these tags definitely overlap a little bit, like abandoned baby, baby left on the doorstep in the middle of the night, and finding and raising abandoned baby.  One option would be someone dropping their newborn off at the firehouse as it’s a no questions asked safe haven.  As for balancing parenting with work, the firefighter shift schedule gives plenty of fodder there.  I can totally see one of both of them freaking out when the baby gets sick because they have no idea wtf to do.  If you want to throw in Herrmann helping talk them down because he’s been there several times over, that would be awesome, but don’t feel you need to.  I’m good with anyone from 51 appearing as a secondary character.  If you go with adopting an infant relative, I’m assuming Kelly’s side of the family, but if you can make Matt’s work, that’s good too.

Leverage - Eliot Spencer + baby

Tags: accidental baby acquisition, accidental baby acquisition - bad guys want the baby, bad guys want the baby, badass parent fights enemies using one hand and protects baby using the other, caring for child while fight off bad guys, caring for orphaned baby, finding and raising abandoned baby

I haven’t started Leverage: Redemption yet because I want to re-watch OG Leverage first and I’m just short on time.  I don’t mind spoilers, so use whatever amount of canon you want.

A lot of these tags definitely tie together, where protecting a baby is part of a case and Eliot has to fight off the bad guys while keeping the baby safe.  An alternative is that Eliot finds a baby, and trying to find out who abandoned the baby turns into a case.  Or Eliot finds a baby and there’s nothing case related at all.  As long as there’s Eliot and a baby, I’m really not picky about the rest.

MCU: Bucky Barnes/Sam Wilson + baby

Tags: accidental baby acquisition, accidental baby acquisition - bad guys want the baby, bad guys want the baby, badass parent fights enemies using one hand and protects baby using other, balancing parenting with being a superhero, balancing parenting with saving the world, caring for a child while fighting off bad guys, caring for oprhaned baby, falling asleep with baby on chest, family friend meets baby

I see pretty much every scenario here with them accidentally ending up with  a baby because Bucky’s all “I’m too much of a mental minefield to raise a child.”  Because they’re Avengers, obviously people will be coming after them and the baby, so do whatever you want there.  Family friend can be Avenger of your choice if you do that one.  Use as much or as little canon as you want.  I’m not going to be very picky.

MCU: Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers + baby

Tags: accidental baby acquisition, accidental baby acquisition - bad guys want the baby, adopting an abandoned baby, baby fluff, baby gets sick for the first time; new parent(s) freak out, baby left on their doorstep in the middle of the night, bad guys want the baby, badass parent fights enemies using one hand and protects baby using other, balancing parenting with being a superhero, balancing parenting with saving the world, caring for a child while fighting off bad guys, caring for oprhaned baby, falling asleep with baby on chest, family friend meets baby, finding and raising abandoned baby

A lot of the Bucky/Sam stuff would apply to Bucky/Steve as well.  That being said, I could see Steve really wanting a kid and convincing Bucky that it’s not a terrible idea.  Obviously this ignores that terrible part of canon where Steve Rogers, who across three solo movies did all sorts of stupid where Bucky Barnes is concerned, just up and leaves him behind.  Up to you how much of the rest of canon you use.  Again not going to be very picky.

MCU: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark + baby

Tags: accidental baby acquisition, accidental baby acquisition - bad guys want the baby, adopting an abandoned baby, baby fluff, baby gets sick for the first time; new parent(s) freak out, baby left on their doorstep in the middle of the night, bad guys want the baby, badass parent fights enemies using one hand and protects baby using other, balancing parenting with being a superhero, balancing parenting with saving the world, caring for a child while fighting off bad guys, caring for oprhaned baby, decorating baby’s room, dressing baby up in little outfits, falling asleep with baby on chest, family friend meets baby, finding and raising abandoned baby

Okay, aside from ignoring Steve going back to be with Peggy, we’re also ignoring Tony dying here.  I’ve leave it up to you if he and Pepper had Morgan and then later got divorced and then Tony ended up with Steve or if you go AU at a point before Morgan ever existed.  I’m good either way.  A lot of the stuff under Bucky/Sam and Bucky/Steve would also apply here.  For decorating baby’s room and dressing baby up in little outfits, I’m picturing Tony going way over the top and Steve rolling his eyes over it.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Tommy Oliver/pregnant Kimberly Hart

Tags: accidental pregnancy, character gets pregnant the first time they have sex, couple thought family was complete until surprise third or fourth pregnancy proved otherwise, teen pregnancy, trying to hide pregnancy

There’s two ways you can go here.  The first is set during MMPR where Tommy and Kim lose their virginity to each other and then oops Kim gets pregnant while still a Ranger.  This would involve keeping it secret as long as possible because a) teenagers and b) superheros.  I could see Kim keeping is secret even from Tommy to keep fighting as long as possible because once he finds out, the “being a Ranger is too dangerous while carrying our baby” conversation is definitely happening.

The other option is to set it later on where they’re all grown up and married and have a few kids already and then oops I guess we’re not done having kids.  You can make it so they never broke up and the stupid letter never happened or that they got back together later on.

Sherlock: Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade + baby

Tags: accidental baby acquisition, adoption, adopting an abandoned baby, baby fluff, baby gets sick the for the first time; new parent(s) freak out; baby left on their doorstep in the middle of the night; baby’s first words; bad guys want the baby; badass parent fights enemies using one hand and protects baby using the other, balancing parenting with work, becoming a parent late in life, caring for child while fighting off bad guys, caring for orphaned baby, falling asleep with baby one chest, family friend meets baby, finding and raising abandoned baby

Canon established that Lestrade has an ex-wife, but unless I missed something, never said whether or not they had any kids together.  I’m good either way.  I’m also good with pretending that Lestrade was never married and it’s always been Mycroft.  I have bunnies of my own across the entire spectrum.  I’m definitely picturing this as being Mycroft’s first child though.

There are so many opportunities for “oops have a baby” but it also could definitely be a planned adoption.  Lestrade is the obvious choice for the badass fighting off an enemy and protecting the baby simultaneously, but it could be made to work for Mycroft too.  There is no way that man isn’t secretly armed at all times.

John is obviously the family friend here - you can make him a dad like in canon or ignore it all and put him with Sherlock.  I’m not going to be picky there.

Torchwood: Pregnant Jack Harkness/Ianto Jones

Tags: character loves being pregnant because of how horny it makes them/how good the sex is, couple thought family was complete until surprise third or fourth pregnancy proved otherwise, mpreg - A didn't know B could get pregnant; B assumed A was trying to knock him up, trying to hide pregnancy

In the very first episode of Torchwood, Jack says something along the lines of “Well at least I won’t get pregnant.  Never doing that again.” and I’ve pretty much run with that ever since.  So for the character A didn’t know B could get pregnant, B assumed A was trying to knock him up prompt, that comment comes back into play where Jack is all “I said I’d been pregnant before” and Ianto is all “I thought it was a fucking joke.”  Trying to hide pregnancy is because a pregnant dude would definitely attract unwanted attention.  I’m not super picky about specifics here, but my one ask is no character death - Tosh, Owen, and Ianto are all alive and well.
